Big Bear Choppers strives to set and lead the trends of our industry, not follow them. We create designs that enthusiast don’t know they want yet. Being an American motorcycle manufacturer means to us that the motorcycles we create must look and feel American. This is a special feeling you get when you look, touch and ride the vehicle.

Great design is achieved through teamwork and openness for new things, and remembering the history of the motorcycle lifestyle. Inspiration comes from everywhere; nature, items from history, machinery, tools, any object can inspire. New technology, law changes, etc., these can inspire and also force you to think outside the box and do new things.

We don’t do things different for the sake of being different, there is a reason for every design element created. Motorcycles built to the level that they are built by Big Bear Choppers are production pieces of an original master art piece, like lithograph prints, ultimately stimulating 4 of your 5 senses.

The Design department works closely with Marketing to find holes in the market and determine customer needs. A design envelope is then determined by company founder and owner Kevin Alsop, advised by the department heads of marketing, engineering, production, sales, research and development, and design.
